Weekend offroad trip to Coyote Flats and Funnel Lake in the high Sierra mountains near Bishop, California. We camped at 10,300 feet and ventured up to almost 11,500 feet. Not too many photos from this trip because we had 60 mph winds gusting to 80 mph in camp, and gusts to almost 100 mph on the ridges. Most of the photos are from the start of the trail when the storm was beginning to brew.
You can read about this trip on my blog
here.
Morning alpenglow on the mountains and my tent pitched on the shore of Funnel Lake. If the winds weren't so bad we could cast a line without leaving the tent and have some fresh trout for breakfast.
