Weekend offroad trip to Coyote Flats and Funnel Lake in the high Sierra mountains near Bishop, California. We camped at 10,300 feet and ventured up to almost 11,500 feet. Not too many photos from this trip because we had 60 mph winds gusting to 80 mph in camp, and gusts to almost 100 mph on the ridges. Most of the photos are from the start of the trail when the storm was beginning to brew.
You can read about this trip on my blog
here.
The typical poser shot at the top of the ridge trail (just under 11,500 feet). Believe that is South Lake behind us, and many big Sierra Nevada peaks! The wind was howling at around 80 mph up here, with even bigger gusts.
