Weekend offroad trip to Coyote Flats and Funnel Lake in the high Sierra mountains near Bishop, California. We camped at 10,300 feet and ventured up to almost 11,500 feet. Not too many photos from this trip because we had 60 mph winds gusting to 80 mph in camp, and gusts to almost 100 mph on the ridges. Most of the photos are from the start of the trail when the storm was beginning to brew.
You can read about this trip on my blog
here.
There is a huge solar farm along 395 that I want to come back and photograph. I guess you can't really do much else in the middle of the desert. It was incredibly beautiful in the early morning sun on the way up, but I didn't take the time to stop. Took a quick grab shot out the jeep window on the way home to remind myself to get back there.
