The campanaria, or bell wall, of Mission San Juan Capistrano as seen from the Sacred Garden, silhouetted against a blue sky. The campanaria was built after the campanile, the original bell tower, was destroyed in the 1812 earthquake. The two smaller bells are original, while the two larger ones, which had been damaged in the earthquake, are replicas. The two large original bells are on display at the location where the original campanile stood.
