CareyPhotography > At the start of what used to be a rocky and moderately challenging climb. Apparently the park service has recently tamed this part of the trail; there has been a lot of stacking to smooth out the trail, and in one place a large boulder that had been strategically placed on a very tight turn has been blasted and half of it has been removed.
CareyPhotography > The obligatory poser shot on the largest rock we could find.
CareyPhotography > Toad let Trailbud use her platinum level AAA card for a 200-mile tow so Trailbud could get the jeep to a dealership close to home.
CareyPhotography > Yup, the tow truck got stuck in the sand when he decided he couldn't cross the stream and tried to turn around. WayOfLife is hooking him up so we can tow him out. The park ranger was really cool; she's the one who convinced the tow truck driver that he should be able to get out to Trailbud's rig, and when he tried to back out she made sure he didn't get away!
