CareyPhotography > Jeep on Gold Mountain trail
CareyPhotography > A quick shot from the side of the trail showing the weather conditions. The temperature was in the 40's at this elevation and we got a peek of sun every now and then. Later in the day we went higher, and around 7600 feet we were actually in the clouds and the weather was just brutal. The temps were in the low 30's, but the moisture in the air made it feel even colder. There was still lots of snow on the ground at that elevation. Big change from the heat wave we had the previous weekend, and it really made a mess of people's Memorial Day weekend plans.
CareyPhotography > A classic beauty on Gold Mountain. This guy was bringing up the rear, and I loved the cowbell hanging off the back of his jeep.
CareyPhotography > It sure looks like that would be the easiest way to approach this little ledge, doesn't it?
CareyPhotography > Doorless jeep on Gold Mountain trail in Big Bear, California
CareyPhotography > The weather was a little brisk for going doorless, but it makes it so much easier to see the trail. Besides, jeeps look so good without doors!
CareyPhotography > Everyone is always smiling when they're out on the trail!
