CareyPhotography > A large natural sea cave below the sandstone bluffs of La Jolla, California. Brown pelicans and cormorants are frequently seen resting on top of the bluff.
CareyPhotography > Trona Pinnacles Trail, 6 miles south of Trona, California, is a 24.6 mile sandy road through the surreal landscape of the National Natural Landmark and scene of many science fiction movies. The pinnacles are tufa (calcium carbonate) deposits that rise up from the dry Searles Lake bed, reaching as high as 140 feet.
