Nine foot bronze sculpture of Richard Henry Dana Jr (1815-1882)., Harvard-educated lawyer and sailor who wrote several books, including "Two Years Before the Mast" and "The Seaman's Friend". Sculpted by John R. Terken, the statue was dedicated in 1972 and is located at the harbor in Dana Point, California.
